Volunteer travel companions from Iran to North America are an integral part of Woofy Wishes rescue operation. This is due to the fact that suitable adopters are very rare in Iran in comparison to the high number of rescue dogs needing permanent homes. For this reason Woofy Wishes operates to send rescue dogs from Iran to North America with travel companions. Sending a single dog without a travel companion via cargo can cost thousands of dollars.
Becoming a travel companion is a very rewarding experience since you will be playing the essential role of delivering a rescue dog to a bright future. Dogs will be delivered to departure and from arrival airports by volunteers, as well as the heavy-lifting. All costs will be covered by the organization and all legal, customs, medical documents will be provided to the travel companion.
